Description

An essential piece of early Global War on Terror (GWOT – Operation Enduring Freedom) history. While standard SPEAR ELCS Basic Kits only provided basic rifle and fragmentation grenade pouches, SOF operators armed with the barrel-mounted Colt M203 40mm grenade launcher were issued the specialized Accessory Kit – M203 Option. This Pouch, 40MM, HE, Quad (NSN: 8465-01-F01-0335) is a key component of that M203 expansion kit, extensively fielded by US Navy SEALs, US Army Special Forces (Green Berets), and 75th Ranger Regiment grenadiers.
Manufactured by renowned defense contractor Safariland Ltd., Inc., this low-profile bandolier-style pouch securely holds four 40x46mm HE (High Explosive) rounds side-by-side and mounts cleanly across the ELCS H-Harness panels or waist belt.
Key Features & Collector Details:

  • Open-Bottom Webbing Stirrup Design: Instead of a closed fabric bottom with grommets, each of the four cells features a heavy-duty webbing stirrup base. This battle-proven design provides instant water drainage during Navy SEAL amphibious operations and prevents mud or sand buildup while securely supporting the 40mm casing.
  • Four-Strap PALS/MOLLE Attachment: The back is equipped with four individual PALS mounting straps with black-oxide brass snaps, ensuring zero sag even when fully loaded with heavy 40mm ordnance.
  • Direct USSOCOM Contract: Constructed from rugged, IR-treated 1000D Cordura nylon in classic M81 Woodland camouflage under coveted Special Operations contract USZA22-98-D-0008, featuring individual hook-and-loop (Velcro) flaps for each cell.
  • Preserved in pristine, museum-grade NOS (New Old Stock / Unissued) condition—never fielded, featuring factory-stiff Cordura, untouched black snaps, a razor-sharp green data label, and the white inspection lot tag 0202 (February 2002). The ultimate addition to complete an authentic early-2000s M4A1 SOPMOD Block I / M203 Grenadier impression!
