Rare Optional Pouch from the modular SPEAR ELCS system designed for a single 9mm pistol magazine in M81 Woodland. Manufactured by Safariland, this item was never included in standard Basic Kits and was special-ordered exclusively for USSOCOM operators (US Navy SEALs, Green Berets, 75th Ranger Regiment). Preserved in unissued NOS (New Old Stock) condition dated 2004—2 pieces in stock (choice of date)!

Description

A highly sought-after piece for dedicated collectors of early Global War on Terror (GWOT – Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom) and turn-of-the-millennium U.S. Special Operations gear. While rifle and grenade pouches came standard in every SPEAR ELCS Basic Kit, the Pouch, Magazine, 9MM, Single (NSN: 8465-01-A12-9499) was a standalone Optional / Ancillary Component. Never included in standard issue kit bags, these pouches were ordered separately in limited quantities for US Navy SEALs, US Army Special Forces (Green Berets), and 75th Ranger Regiment personnel.
Manufactured by renowned defense contractor Safariland Ltd., Inc., this pouch is tailored to hold a single double-stack 9x19mm pistol magazine (specifically for the issue Beretta M9 or the SIG Sauer P226 / Mk25 favored by Navy SEALs). In the field, SOF operators also frequently used this exact pouch to carry a multitool (Leatherman / Gerber) or tactical handheld flashlight.

  • Signature Rear Layout: Features early PALS/MOLLE single-strap webbing attachment and dual black-oxide brass drainage grommets flanking the lower snap fastener.
  • Direct USSOCOM Contract: Constructed from IR-treated 1000D Cordura nylon in classic M81 Woodland camouflage under coveted Special Operations contract USZA22-98-D-0008 with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure flap.
  • Choice of Production Lot: We have 2 pouches available in untouched NOS (New Old Stock / Unissued) condition from Spring 2004—one featuring white inspection lot tag 0402 (February 2004) and the other 0404 (April 2004).
