During the early days of the War in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), elite units like the Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and CIA Ground Branch ditched their heavy, uncomfortable standard-issue packs for top-tier civilian mountaineering gear (known as COTS - Commercial Off-The-Shelf). This specific pack was sourced directly from a US Army Green Beret veteran. It is in nice, field-used condition with all zippers and buckles fully functional. A holy grail piece for early GWOT reenactors and "operator" gear collectors!

The iconic Cold War winter staple! Up for sale is a genuine US Army Parka, Extreme Cold Weather (famously known as the "Fishtail" parka) in the highly sought-after Medium size. This is a complete 3-piece modular set featuring the outer shell (dated 1982), a warm quilted liner from the Vietnam era (1973), and a wire-framed hood with synthetic fur ruff (1979). The jacket boasts vibrant, rich colors and is in great vintage condition. There are a few tiny, pinhole-sized spark holes on the chest (see photos) that add to its authentic character. A timeless piece of outerwear.

This specific early model is highly sought after because its attachment method is a direct carryover from the Vietnam-era Lightweight Rucksacks. The strap consists of two halves; each half threads through the side loops of the ALICE frame and secures back onto itself using metal rings and a snap fastener.
