A scarce piece of field gear from the Korean War era. Unlike the common Army tents, this is a genuine USMC (United States Marine Corps) Shelter Half.

Markings: Features the distinctive, large "U.S.M.C." stencil on the exterior. The manufacturer stamp is clear: "TWEEDIE FOOTWEAR CORP." dated 1952.
Features: Labeled as "Tent, Shelter Half (New Type) W/ Metal Snap Fastener," indicating the transition to snap closures for quicker setup.
Condition: These tents have strong, vibrant color but are sold as used vintage condition. Expect to see small holes, pinholes, or period repairs consistent with actual field use. This "salty" look is highly prized by collectors for its authenticity.
