This particular piece showcases an interesting field modification: while tagged as a size 36 Long, both the sleeves and trouser legs have been period-shortened and hemmed (likely by a mechanic for safety and mobility). R.I., this knife was issued to pilots and aircrew as part of the C-1 Survival Vest.
