Description

This is a "holy grail" item for aviation gear collectors. We are offering a pristine Survival Ax Type IV, manufactured by Frank & Warren, Inc. Intended for aircrews to cut their way out of downed aircraft and survive in hostile environments. This example is in New Old Stock (NOS) condition, retaining the rare yellow identification sticker on the blade reading "SURVIVAL AX TYPE IV MIL-S-8642C". It comes as a complete kit with the original canvas sheath and internal accessories:

  • Round sharpening stone with lanyard chain.

  • Signal mirror in its vinyl pouch. The blade finish is original and untouched. An impossible-to-upgrade piece.
