Description

An essential piece for any Vietnam War collection. This is an original Chicom Canteen, standard issue for the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and Vietcong (VC) guerillas. While most "bringback" canteens are heavily rusted or damaged from jungle use, this example is in remarkable condition.

Features: Classic green painted metal body with the distinctive ribbed bakelite/plastic screw cap attached by a cord loop.
Harness: Comes with the correct period tan cotton/canvas strap system with a simple metal friction buckle.
Condition: Almost Unused / Mint. The paint retains its sheen and the canvas is clean and sturdy. A perfect display piece.

Unused Body Armor, Ground Troops, Variable Type vest with plates. Size Medium Long. Contract DSA 100-69-C-0548. Perfect unused condition. There is a small tear in the cotton fabric on the inside back see photo.

The vest was tested by the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam from January to May 1967, and although it was too heavy for foot mobile operations, it was recommended for personnel involved in escorting convoys and motorized patrols.
