Original US Army AIRBORNE Tab (Full Color) | Cut Edge | 1960s
Description
The mark of those who come from the sky.
-
The Airborne Mark: Worn directly above the main unit shoulder sleeve insignia (such as the 101st, 82nd, or 173rd), this tab designates a soldier who is parachute qualified.
-
1960s Construction: Unlike modern merrowed edge patches introduced later in the decade, this tab features a traditional flat un-merrowed "Cut Edge". The reverse displays the textbook white return thread ("snowy back") indicative of era-correct US manufacturing.
-
"Salty" Condition: This tab has "been there." The frayed edges are the authentic result of being sewn onto and then removed from a uniform. This genuine wear adds incredible character that collectors and reenactors actively look for.
