Description

A definitive symbol of the Marine Corps boot camp experience. This is an original USMC Drill Instructor (DI) Belt, featuring the distinctive brass buckle plate modified onto a standard M1956 web belt.

  • The Buckle: Features a large, heavy solid brass plate embossed with the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA)emblem. This polished brass is the hallmark of a DI's "command presence."

  • The Belt: Built on a standard issue M1956 cotton pistol belt, modified to accept the ceremonial buckle hook system. The webbing is in excellent shape.

  • Markings: Stamped "M" for Medium on the adjustment end. There is a hand-scratched "W" on the metal keeper, likely a personalized mark.

  • Condition: Very nice vintage condition. The brass has an honest patina but polishes up well, and the webbing shows minimal wear.
