Extremely Rare US Special Forces Patch Set w/ Tab | Color-Matched | Cut Edge
Description
Special Forces history woven into a matching set.
-
An Unauthorized Experiment: Prior to 1983, SF operators officially wore only the "AIRBORNE" tab over their SSI. However, during the Cold War and early Vietnam era, various experimental "SPECIAL FORCES" tabs were produced. Finding a surviving matching set today is incredibly difficult.
-
Color-Matched Design: Both the tab and the main arrowhead are specifically woven with a matching teal background and yellow detailing. This allowed the two pieces to seamlessly blend when sewn onto a combat uniform.
-
Construction & Condition: Textbook mid-century US manufacturing. Both pieces feature an un-merrowed flat edge (Cut Edge) and a classic white return thread ("snowy back") on the reverse. The set is lightly used, showing minor edge fraying but retaining vibrant, contrasting colors.
