Bring your vintage strobe light back to life! We are offering a precision-machined brass battery adapter that allows you to power the legendary US military SDU-5/E and SDU-39/N distress marker lights using a modern, readily available CR123 lithium battery. The original BA-1574/U mercury batteries have been out of production for decades, making this adapter the only reliable way to get your Vietnam or Cold War era strobe flashing again. The essential upgrade for functional vintage gear.

  • How it Works: The SDU family of strobes was designed around an obsolete mercury battery. This adapter acts as a sleeve: simply drop a standard 3V CR123 lithium battery inside, screw the adapter onto the strobe in place of the original battery cap, and your device is ready for action.

  • Solid Construction: The adapter is heavily machined from solid brass for excellent conductivity and durability. It comes with a rubber O-ring to maintain the strobe's waterproof integrity.

  • Markings: The bottom of the cap is engraved with the polarity (+), the required battery type (CR123), and the maker's mark.

  • Compatibility: Designed to fit SDU-5/E, SDU-39/N distress markers and similar variants. Please note: CR123 battery is not included.
