This legendary "Aussie made" rig consists of the short "Vandegrift" style blouse (badged to a Corporal), a garrison cap with an original EGA device, and trousers. Amazingly, the trousers are in unissued NOS (New Old Stock) condition with the original paper spec tag still attached. These uniforms were famously issued to the 1st Marine Division veterans resting in Melbourne after Guadalcanal. A true museum-quality centerpiece.
