Detailed research confirms the manufacturer as C. Otto Gehrckens from Pinneberg. The specific "RFNr." marking allows us to date this piece with extreme precision to the narrow window between late 1944 and May 1945. This is a flawless New Old Stock (NOS) item featuring late-war steel hardware, making it the perfect finishing touch for a late-war Quist M40 or depot-assembled M42 helmet.
