A true battle veteran with a unique story! Up for sale is a genuine US WWI ammunition pouch for Colt 1911 pistol magazines, dated 1918 (made by L.C.C. & CO.). This piece features a fantastic, unusual field modification/repair: A rugged, hand-sewn canvas band, made of contrasting white/natural material, has been added around the mouth of the pouch to reinforce the opening. This modification, likely performed in the field during WWII, makes this a 100% unique item with incredible provenance. In well-used, "salty" combat-condition.
