This set is exceptional because all components are US Marine Corps issued, and the liner features the rare stencil "C. W. Bn.". This stands for Cold Weather Battalion, the specialized unit formed in 1951 at Pickel Meadows to train Marines for the freezing conditions of Korea (Chosin Reservoir campaign).

• The Hood: Dated 1951, "U.S. Marine Corp." stamped, real fur ruff.

• The Liner: Wool pile, stamped "U.S. Marine Corps Depot of Supplies" and "C. W. Bn."

• The Shell: Heavy cotton sateen, heavy-duty brass zipper. Condition is remarkably good. Size Medium.
