USGI M65 Field Jacket | 1967 Silver Zipper | 2nd Armored Patch | Long Medium | With Liner
Description
This is a prime example of a Vietnam War era M-65 Field Jacket. It is the highly collectible 2nd Pattern (with epaulets) featuring the distinct aluminum (silver) main and collar zippers, which were only used for a few years before brass became standard. The jacket has excellent provenance with original insignia:
-
2nd Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels") SSI on the shoulder.
-
WALLACE name tape and U.S. ARMY branch tape. Manufactured by Atomic Sportswear Co. in 1967 (Contract DSA 100-67-C-0655). Includes a correct button-in winter liner dated 1969. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No holes or tears. Zippers work perfectly. The fabric retains good color with authentic patina.
