Era & Usage: The VS-17 panel is synonymous with Vietnam War operations. Tucked into rucksacks or cargo pockets, it was deployed to signal helicopters ("Dustoff") or attack aircraft. When smoke grenades dissipated, the bright orange and cerise panel remained as a permanent marker for friendly forces.
Panel Specs (Inside): The panel itself (inside the wrapper) is made of heavy-duty nylon, featuring high-visibility fluorescent orange on one side and fluorescent cerise on the other, complete with tie-downs and snaps to link multiple panels together.
