Originální páska U.S. ARMY | Raná tištěná verze (Printed) | Vietnam NOS
Description
A fleeting piece of US military history preserved in time.
-
The Printed History: In 1966, the US Army transitioned from full-color (gold/black) tapes to subdued versions to improve camouflage. To meet massive demand, the very first subdued tapes were simply stamped with black ink onto olive drab cotton webbing.
-
Why it's rare: Troops quickly realized that after a few washes and harsh jungle use, the ink would completely vanish, leaving a blank piece of webbing. Finding a printed tape today with 100% of its original ink intact is exceptionally rare.
-
Material: Heavy-duty, coarse-weave OD green cotton webbing.
