Description
This is a rare find for the Vietnam War collector: original Fragmentation Protective Groin Armor. Often discarded by troops in the field due to heat and discomfort, surviving examples in this condition are scarce. Made of ballistic nylon filler encased in an OG-106 nylon shell. The label bears the contract number DSA-100-4677, dating manufacture to 1966. Features a heavy-duty aluminum zipper and snap button closures. Condition: Unissued. The item has never been worn in combat. The nylon is crisp and clean, showing no signs of rot or fading. Sold as a collectible only.
