The mark of elite combat divers! Up for sale is a genuine US Military Scuba Diver Badge from the 1990s. Before the introduction of the Special Operations Diver Badge in 2004, this was the exact qualification badge awarded to and worn by US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and Rangers who graduated from the grueling Combat Diver Qualification Course. The badge features a classic scuba mask design with corrugated breathing hoses. It comes in excellent collector's condition with standard clutch-back pins. A must-have for any 1990s Special Operations or Navy display!

Qualified for underwater infiltration.

History & Usage: Authorized in 1969, the Scuba Diver Badge was awarded to personnel trained in SCUBA operations. In the US Army, this badge was highly prestigious and primarily worn by Special Forces combat divers until it was replaced by a branch-specific design in 2004.
Design Details: The badge portrays a vintage scuba diver's mask with twin corrugated breathing tubes connecting at the bottom.
Condition: Features a silver-tone finish with a very nice, authentic vintage patina. The reverse uses a standard dual-pin clutch-back attachment system typical of 1980s/1990s production.

It features the period-correct black aluminum frame. The pack carries the original owner's name and showcases a genuine "field expedient repair": the waist belt (kidney pad) is secured with wire where the original turnbuckle/nut was lost.
