Genuine US Army Earplug Case | Storage Container | Light Patina
Description
Hearing protection is an absolute necessity for artillerymen, infantry, and vehicle crews. To ensure small foam or rubber earplugs weren't lost or dirtied, American soldiers were issued these genuine plastic containers (Earplug Cases). It is a lightweight yet durable cylinder with a friction-fit lid. The case is equipped with a metal ball chain, allowing the soldier to easily attach it to their gear, a uniform buttonhole, or ALICE suspenders. This specific piece comes from a genuine American government contractor. It is lightly used ("combat used"), displaying a slight yellowing of the material that is entirely typical for vintage military plastics. This natural period patina only adds to its authenticity! The material remains pliable, and the case is complete and free of any damage or cracks. An ideal small artifact for reenactors and collectors. (Note: Supplied as an empty case without earplugs).
