This jacket features the distinctive large side-entry chest pockets originally designed for flotation bladders. A key historical detail is that the internal gas flap has been removed, a very common "in-country" modification done by Marines to improve ventilation. The sleeves feature authentic, hand-applied Sergeant chevrons, adding immense character. Original "U.S. MARINE CORPS" donut buttons are intact. Tagged size 38.

This insignia belongs to the 187th Parachute Glider Infantry Regiment (187th PGIR) of the 11th Airborne Division. This is the era when the unit earned its famous nickname "Rakkasans" (falling down umbrella men).
