A classic piece of WWII aviation survival gear: The US Navy Mark 1 Survival Knife, famously nicknamed the "Giant Jackknife" due to its massive 6-inch closed length. Manufactured by COLONIAL PROV. R.I., this knife was issued to pilots and aircrew as part of the C-1 Survival Vest. It features a large clip-point blade and a rugged saw blade specifically designed to cut through Plexiglas canopies or aircraft aluminum skin. The knife is in nice vintage condition.
