WWII USMC HBT Shooting Jacket | Marksmanship Coat | Padded | Size Medium
Description
A scarce piece of specialized USMC gear. This is an original WWII HBT Shooting Jacket, issued to Marines for rifle marksmanship training and qualification ranges.
-
Design: Constructed from standard sage green Herringbone Twill (HBT) cotton. Distinct from the utility coat, this jacket features heavy quilted padding on both shoulders (to absorb recoil) and on the elbows (for comfort in the prone shooting position).
-
Features: It has a single breast pocket on the left side (often used for scorebooks) and is secured by the classic copper-finish "U.S. MARINE CORPS" donut buttons.
-
Condition: The jacket is in very good condition with strong fabric and distinct HBT weave. There is no major damage, making it a prime example for display.
