WWII USMC P1944 HBT Utility Jacket | Economy Buttons | Size 38 R | EGA Stencil
Description
A definitive piece of late-war Pacific Theater gear. This is an original USMC P1944 Utility Coat, introduced to replace the earlier P41s during the campaigns of 1944/45.
-
Variation: This jacket features the "Economy" style metal buttons. These generic buttons were used on late-war contracts to conserve materials and speed up production, making this a specific historical variant.
-
Design: Features the complex "side-entry" chest pockets originally designed for floatation bladders or extra gear. The left pocket bears a bold USMC & EGA stencil.
-
Condition: Vintage / Combat Used. The Herringbone Twill fabric is strong. There are visible stains (possibly rust or field stains) on the body, adding to the "salty" character of the item.
