WWII USMC Hospital Corpsman Knife | Boyt 42 Scabbard | Medic Bolo
Description
A definitive piece of gear from the Pacific Theater. This is an original USMC Hospital Corpsman Knife, commonly referred to as the "Medic Bolo," issued to Corpsmen for clearing brush and crafting litters/splints.
-
The Knife: Features the rounded tip design with "U.S.M.C." stamped deeply into the blade. The steel shows heavy pitting and dark patina consistent with age and jungle exposure, giving it a true "been there" character. Wooden handles are intact.
-
The Scabbard: The highlight of this set is the original leather scabbard, clearly stamped "U.S. BOYT 42". Finding a 1942 dated Boyt scabbard in this solid condition is becoming increasingly difficult. The leather remains supple.
