A piece of history from the Greatest Generation. This is a genuine 48-Star Flag, the standard ensign of the United States during World War II and the Korean War. Identified by the strict grid alignment of the stars (6 rows of 8).

Material: Classic heavy cotton bunting with individually sewn stripes and embroidered stars, far superior to modern printed flags.
Character: This flag shows evidence of real use. The hoist grommets were torn out and field-repaired with twine and safety pins. The fabric has a salty patina that collectors desire. Perfect for a museum display or reenactment command post.
