A canvas half-tent that tells a real soldier's story.

  • Provenance & Markings: The original manufacturer's tag clearly reads "POWERS & CO. 1945". The canvas features highly visible hand-lettering reading "PAUL PETERSEN / 1306 Coachman Ave. / Whittier, Calif. / TR. 942", alongside a stenciled "TROOP 942".

  • Material: Heavy-duty OD/Khaki cotton canvas featuring original metal buttons and grommets.

  • "Salty" Condition: This shelter half has seen real use. It features dark stains and several small, period-correct darned repairs adding to its authentic character.

  • Note on Damage: Please note there is an approximately 20 cm (8-inch) section where the main seam has blown/separated. This can be easily restitched by a restorer if desired.
