Description

A piece of history from the Victory Year. We offer original US Government Issue (USGI) Canteen Cups dated 1945. While the army used steel during the mid-war material shortages, aluminum production resumed in 1945.

Design: Standard rolled-edge aluminum cup with a steel folding "butterfly" handle. Fits standard US 1qt canteens.
Markings: We have a stock of various wartime contractors. The position of the date/maker stamp varies:
- Handle Stamped: Markings are located on the flat top of the steel handle.
- Bottom Stamped: Markings are located on the underside of the cup body.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. These have seen service and may show minor dents, scratches, or oxidation, but are structurally sound and usable.
