Real steel from World War II with authentic field history! We are offering a genuine US M3 Trench Knife manufactured by the legendary Camillus Cutlery Co. This is the highly desirable mid-war "Guard Marked" variation. The knife is in beautiful used condition, showing a "salty" combat patina on both the blade and the stacked leather handle. The pommel bears a crisp Ordnance flaming bomb stamp. It comes complete with an original U.S.M8 scabbard featuring a transitional M1910 wire hanger. Crucially, the reverse of the scabbard and webbing features hand-painted "rack numbers" (or laundry numbers), proving this knife saw actual service. A premium piece for any WWII US Airborne collector!

M3 History: Introduced in 1943, the M3 was the iconic sidearm of Paratroopers, Rangers, and glider infantry.
Guard Marked Detail: To prevent blade breakage, the stamping "US M3 / CAMILLUS" was moved to the crossguard in 1944. The steel pommel is correctly stamped with the Ordnance Department's flaming bomb.
Blade & Handle Condition: The knife has seen honest field use. The carbon steel blade has lost much of its original parkerized finish but remains in good shape. The grooved stacked leather handle is darkened from use but remains tight and solid.
U.S.M8 Scabbard & Personalization: The original fiberglass scabbard is stamped U.S.M8 B.M.CO.. It features the M1910 wire hanger hook, making it a sought-after transitional piece. The most exciting feature is the hand-painted field markings on the back of the canvas and fiberglass body, adding immense historical character and provenance to the rig.
