The Blade: The ricasso is boldly stamped "U.S. / UTICA CUT. CO.". The blade has not been post-war sharpened, showing off its original factory lines and dark finish. The very point of the blade is slightly rounded from honest field use, typical of knives used as utility tools.

The Handle: Classic stacked and grooved leather washers. The leather is healthy, tight, and well-preserved. The steel pommel is securely peened.

The Scabbard: Includes the correct mid-1944 contract fiberglass scabbard. The throat is marked "U S N / MK 2"and "NORD - 8114 / B.M. Co.". The canvas webbing and retention snap are fully functional.
