Description

A true "Holy Grail" for WWII collectors. This is the M1943 Jungle Pack in the iconic Frogskin (Duck Hunter)camouflage pattern. Designed to carry heavy loads in the Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO), these packs rarely survived the war intact. This example is in stunning condition.

Provenance: clearly stamped INDIANAPOLIS TENT & AWNING CO. with the date 1943. Also features a bold "U.S." stamp on the flap.
Condition: Mint / Unissued. The canvas retains its original stiffness and vibrant colors. The metal hardware (buckles, hooks) retains nearly 100% of its original black finish with no rust.
History: Issued to US Army and Marine Corps troops fighting in the Pacific island hopping campaigns.
