A superb example of the WWII US Navy Mark 1 Knife, manufactured by Colonial. This is the desirable variant featuring a molded black polymer handle, designed to withstand the harsh saltwater environment better than traditional leather washers. The blade is in excellent condition, unsharpened, retaining its original factory edge and finish. Clearly stamped "U.S.N." on the ricasso and "MARK 1 / COLONIAL" on the reverse. Includes the correct USN MK 1 composition hard scabbard.
