A fascinating piece of WWII naval communications equipment.

  • Purpose: This device clamped onto the center hinge of military binoculars. This allowed the signalman to aim the light beam precisely while keeping the receiving ship in his field of view, minimizing the risk of enemy detection.

  • Packaging & Markings: Includes the original carton printed with full operation and mounting instructions. Clearly marked "BINOCULAR BLINKER - TUBE TYPE, U. S. Navy Spec. 17B15 (INT)" and manufactured by Delta Electric Company.

  • Condition: NOS (New Old Stock). The device is visually complete and unused. It exhibits normal white "blooming" (oxidation) on the black casing typical of vintage rubber/plastic stored for decades. Untested, sold strictly for display.
