US Army M1912 Fencing Bayonet – Training Musketry – Springfield M1903 – No Leather

  • 1 of 8

A scarce piece of early 20th-century training equipment: The US Army Model 1912 Fencing Bayonet. Designed to fit the M1903 Springfield rifle, this tool was used for bayonet drills and musketry training. It features a flexible steel rod "blade" with a curled safety tip and a standard M1905-style hilt mechanism. This item is sold as the bare bayonet only; the original leather padding and cover have deteriorated over time and are not included. The metal is in nice condition with honest patina.
