A heavy-duty piece of trench warfare navigation history.

  • Item: Mark VII Mod. E Marching Compass. Known for its rugged brass construction and radium dial (luminosity expired).

  • Provenance: Clearly marked on the reverse with "U.S. E.D." indicating issue to the U.S. Engineer Department, and manufactured by Sperry Gyroscope Co..

  • Condition: Shows honest service wear. The original olive drab paint has worn to reveal the brass base metal, giving it a fantastic look. The magnifying prism is intact.

  • Case: Includes the original brown leather belt case, which shows age and wear consistent with 100+ years of history.
