A piece of history with a personal touch from the Pancho Villa Expedition era.

Provenance: Sourced from a US estate sale. The highlight is the handwritten note on the back tape: "Mexican Border 1916 - My first Chevron". This dates the item precisely to General Pershing's expedition, just prior to WWI.
Construction: Classic pre-WWI appliqué style, featuring felt stripes sewn onto a wool background.
