Original USN Wet Weather Parka (WWII / Vietnam Era) | Two-Tone | Size S
Description
Decades of history woven into a rainproof shell.
-
History & Use: This hooded, lace-up foul weather pullover was standard deck gear for the WWII Navy. However, it saw a massive resurgence in the 1960s when elite units operating in the Mekong Delta realized it was the best wind and waterproof layer available for fast boat operations.
-
Details: Retains a crisp U.S.N. stencil on the left chest. A heavily faded tag at the bottom hem shows remnants of an "NXsx" contract, confirming authentic WWII production.
-
Two-Tone Character: The left sleeve is a darker, greener shade of rubberized canvas than the rest of the parka. This mismatch (from production dye lots or a wartime repair) adds incredible vintage character.
-
Sizing (Oversized): Tagged Size Small, but designed to be worn over bulky cold-weather clothing and life preservers. It easily fits like a modern Medium.
-
Condition: Used military surplus. Shows honest field wear, staining, and patina, making it a perfect display or reenactment piece.
