A highly desirable Vietnam Era "Private Purchase" Green Beret made by the famous Bancroft Military Capscompany. Distinguished by its yellow/gold lining, this was the preferred headgear for career Special Forces soldiers who wanted a sharper look than the standard issue. Named to "WILSON" on the sweatband. The beret is in very nice condition but features a distinct cigarette burn through the vinyl liner, adding undeniable character and history. Size approx 7 1/4.

A superb example of the scarce Rubberized M3 Medical Bag (Instrument and Supply Set No. 3). Manufactured by Eastern Canvas Products Inc., this waterproof variation was standard issue during the Korean War and early Vietnam era. Unlike many surviving examples, the rubberized fabric on this bag is supple and free of dry rot, and all zippers are fully functional. The kit comes loaded with vintage medical supplies, including boxed muslin bandages, Johnson & Johnson gauze, and a highly collectible glass bottle of Norwich Aspirin. A genuine vintage pocket patch for the 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, nicknamed the "Blackhawks". This unit saw extensive heavy combat in Vietnam acting as the "eyes and ears" for the Americal Division. This patch features the highly desirable "Cut Edge" construction (non-merrowed) and a "Snowy Back" reverse, hallmarks of US-made insignia from the Vietnam era (pre-1968). It is in used condition, showing signs of having been removed from a uniform.

A "Holy Grail" item for Vietnam War and Special Operations collectors: The original "Preliminary Operator's and Organizational Maintenance Manual" for the STONER 63A (5.56mm Light Machinegun, Belt Fed). Published directly by the manufacturer, Cadillac Gage Company, this represents a rare piece of history associated almost exclusively with US Navy SEALs and elite units in Southeast Asia. The manual features intricate technical diagrams of the trigger group, receiver, and field stripping procedures.

A highly desirable Technical Manual (TM 9-1005-249-14) dated August 1966. This manual is a treasure trove for early Vietnam War collectors. It covers the maintenance and repair of the M16 and XM16E1 rifles, but its primary value lies in the inclusion of the XM148 40mm Grenade Launcher. The XM148 was an experimental, failure-prone predecessor to the M203, used briefly by US Special Forces. Original documentation for the XM148 is extremely scarce.

A prime example of the US Army "Rucksack, Tropical", the definitive pack of the Vietnam War. Dated 1968 (DSA 100-68-C-2782). Unlike the later ALICE pack, this features the distinctive spring-steel "X-Frame" to keep the load off the soldier's back in humid conditions. The nylon is in excellent condition with vibrant color. Includes two original utility lash straps. Note: One metal eyelet is missing from a side attachment tab.
