Description

This is an authentic USGI MOLLE II Fighting Load Carrier (FLC) vest in the 3-Color Desert (DCU) camouflage pattern. Widely issued during the early stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom, this vest is the core of the MOLLE system. It features rows of PALS webbing allowing the soldier to customize their loadout. This is the zippered version, which allows for easier donning and doffing compared to earlier buckle-only models. It features a breathable mesh upper body and a prominent "US" stencil on the shoulder. Condition: Used/Issued. The item shows signs of service but is structurally sound with working zippers and buckles.

This specific early model is highly sought after because its attachment method is a direct carryover from the Vietnam-era Lightweight Rucksacks. The strap consists of two halves; each half threads through the side loops of the ALICE frame and secures back onto itself using metal rings and a snap fastener.
