Across the U.S. Armed Forces, this axe serves alongside the mattock and D-handle shovel as part of the onboard Pioneer Tool Kit (BII) strapped to iconic tactical vehicles including the HMMWV (Humvee), M113 APC, Stryker, and M35 / M939 / FMTV series trucks.
