During the early days of the War in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), elite units like the Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and CIA Ground Branch ditched their heavy, uncomfortable standard-issue packs for top-tier civilian mountaineering gear (known as COTS - Commercial Off-The-Shelf). This specific pack was sourced directly from a US Army Green Beret veteran. It is in nice, field-used condition with all zippers and buckles fully functional. Up for sale is an original US Army flight jacket (Coat, Aircrew, Combat) made of fire-resistant Nomex (Aramid) in the Tan 380 colorway. This jacket belonged to a highly experienced Army pilot (CW2 Alexander) and features a complete set of original, field-worn patches. The absolute highlight is the custom "TF Palerider" combat patch of B Company, 2-159th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion from their combat deployment in Afghanistan (OEF 2012-2013). Size Large-Long. Lightly used condition with an authentic combat patina and absolutely no damage.

This coat belonged to a Commander (O-5) in the famed Seabees (Naval Construction Battalions). It is fully badged with all its original, subdued insignia, including rank, branch collar devices, two warfare qualification breast pins, and the large Seabees pocket patch. It features the rare early black NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) cap, which is complete with its original, intact retaining strap connecting it to the canteen neck.
