This specific early model is highly sought after because its attachment method is a direct carryover from the Vietnam-era Lightweight Rucksacks. The strap consists of two halves; each half threads through the side loops of the ALICE frame and secures back onto itself using metal rings and a snap fastener. Contract dated 1981, perfectly unissued (NOS).

The jacket boasts vibrant, rich colors and is in great vintage condition. There are a few tiny, pinhole-sized spark holes on the chest (see photos) that add to its authentic character.
