Original US Army PASGT Vest Cover (3-Color Desert) | 2003
Description
Instant desert camouflage for the iconic PASGT vest.
-
History & Usage: The PASGT system protected American troops from the 1980s onwards. During the 2003 invasion of Iraq, thousands of soldiers and Marines were still issued woodland camo PASGT vests. These cloth covers provided a quick and effective way to blend into the desert environment before the Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) was widely adopted.
-
Camouflage: The iconic 3-Color Desert pattern, affectionately known by troops as "Coffee Stain."
-
Construction: Made from a tough 50/50 Nylon/Cotton blend. It secures over the kevlar vest using robust hook-and-loop shoulder flaps and a front closure. It also features cleverly designed slits to allow access to the pockets on the vest underneath or to pass ALICE gear through.
-
Markings & Condition: The interior instruction label is perfectly legible, showing a 2003 contract date (SP0100-03-D-EA99) and the manufacturer UNICOR. Size Small/Medium fits corresponding Small or Medium PASGT vests. Lightly used condition with no tears or holes.
