Original US Army A2CU Flight Jacket (Nomex) | 1st ID "Taz Devils" | Apache Pilot
Description
The authentic uniform of an Airborne-qualified Apache pilot from the Big Red One.
-
Combat History ("Taz Devils"): The standout feature is the custom combat patch on the right sleeve. It belongs to A Co, 1-1 AVN REGT (Attack). The design shows the Tasmanian Devil riding an AH-64 Apache helicopter out of a tornado, bearing the 1st Infantry Division shield. The left shoulder carries the subdued desert version of the 1st ID patch.
-
Pilot & Insignia: The jacket is named to PATRICK, a Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW2). Above the U.S. ARMY tape, he wears a great combination of skills: the "Senior Army Aviator" badge (star above the wings, signifying 7+ years of service or 1000+ flight hours) and underneath it, the "Basic Parachutist Badge" (Airborne qualified).
-
A2CU Material: Standard Army Aircrew Combat Uniform (A2CU) coat, made of a fire-resistant blend of 95% Meta-Aramid and 5% Para-Aramid (Nomex) by DJ Manufacturing Corp. The "Tan 380" color was standard for desert operations.
-
Condition & Size: Size Medium-Long. Designed for a chest of 37-41 inches (approx. 94-104 cm) and a height of 71-75 inches (approx. 180-190 cm). Very nice, lightly used condition with no holes or tears.
