A significant piece of US Naval uniform history. This is a pre-production test blouse from the "Task Force Uniform" era (circa 2004).

Provenance: The tag explicitly reads "EXPERIMENTAL GARMENT: NWU-C" and lists a 2004 contract (N00140-04-C-0871). This confirms it is a prototype tested years before the mass adoption of the "Blueberry" uniform.

Insignia: Fully patched for a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). Features the SCPO anchor on the pocket and "U.S. NAVY" tape in gold lettering (correct for CPO/Officers). Also includes a Chief of Naval Operations pocket badge.
