A desirable collector's piece: Early production Lan-Cay M9 Bayonet. This distinct variation features the Round Green Handle and a Silver (Satin) Blade, differing from the later blocky handles and black blades. The scabbard is the correct early Lan-Cay type with 4 retention loops. Condition is Used / Very Nice. Note: The sharpening stone on the back of the scabbard has chipped corners due to field use.

Textbook early 90s issue.

  • Markings: Ricasso stamped M9 / LANCAY / USA. The lack of a hyphen suggests early production tooling.

  • Configuration: Round handle profile + flat ground silver blade.

  • Scabbard: Molded Lan-Cay markings with 4 slots/loops flanking the stone.

  • Defect Report: Structural integrity is perfect; cosmetic damage to the sharpening stone edges only.
