Commercial ALICE M-16 Magazine Pouch (Desert Tan) | "Old Gen" Tactical
Description
The private purchase upgrade troops loved in the desert.
-
"Private Purchase" History: During the Gulf War and early operations in Afghanistan/Iraq, standard issue desert gear was often scarce. Troops hit the PX (Post Exchange) or tactical catalogs to buy their own commercial desert nylon gear. Today, this "Old Gen" commercial tactical gear has a massive cult following among collectors and reenactors.
-
The Tactical Upgrade: Instead of the standard LC-2 metal latch, this pouch features a heavy-duty plastic quick-release buckle. This provided soldiers with much faster, one-handed, and silent access to their magazines during combat.
-
Capacity & Features: Made of tough Tan nylon, the main compartment holds three 30-round 5.56mm STANAG magazines. It retains the standard two side pockets with snap closures for M67 fragmentation grenades.
-
Attachment: The rear features the standard ALICE webbing with two included black metal ALICE clips for belt attachment, plus the suspender snap-strap.
-
Condition: The pouch is in very good, lightly used condition. No rips or tears, and the buckle functions perfectly.
