A highly collectible piece of US surplus history: Original 1974 ALICE Pack Medium LC-1. 1974 was the very first year of production for the ALICE system, making this pack much rarer than the common 1980s versions. It features the period-correct black aluminum frame. The pack carries the original owner's name and showcases a genuine "field expedient repair": the waist belt (kidney pad) is secured with wire where the original turnbuckle/nut was lost.
