An incredibly scarce piece of early Cold War history.

  • Pattern: Splittertarn M55. This was the first camouflage pattern issued to the newly formed West German Bundeswehr. It was only used between 1956 and 1959 before being replaced by Olive Drab due to its resemblance to WWII Wehrmacht patterns.

  • Provenance: clearly stamped 5/56 (May 1956).

  • Features: Includes the characteristic asymmetrical pocket layout and the integrated cloth waist belt with dual buckle closure.

  • Condition: Mint / Unissued. Finding these trousers in this pristine condition is virtually impossible on the current market.

Technical Specs:

  • Pattern: BW Splittermuster (M55)

  • Date: May 1956

  • Size: Height 171cm / Waist 79cm (approx 31")

  • Condition: NOS (Museum Grade).
